Director Werner Herzog accompanies British aviation engineer Graham Dorrington to Guyana, where the slightly-eccentric professor hopes to pilot his mini-dirigible over the awesome Kaieteur Falls. Part of the drama comes from Dorrington's quest, which forces him to relive an earlier attempt that ended in tragedy with the death of his cameraman. An equally fascinating character is Mark Anthony Yhap, a local man who muses on the beauty of the white diamond and the mystical falls in equal measure.
